Our vision of conservation ranges from the design of microclimatic systems to the supply of technical materials, combining science, craftsmanship and respect for heritage. Each solution is tailored to the specific needs of the piece, its context and its environmental conditions.
Customized microclimatic systems
We design and manufacture microclimatic display cases and frames that guarantee active and stable protection against the main agents of deterioration: humidity and temperature fluctuations, exposure to light, suspended particles and atmospheric pollutants. Our MCframe frames, developed and adjusted piece by piece, incorporate internal sensors, anti-reflective glass and highly efficient sealing systems. The aesthetic design is adapted to the visual language of each project, respecting original frames or proposing contemporary solutions of maximum visual discretion.
Technical materials for preventive conservation
We supply wrapping materials and consumables specific to conservation: celplast, cellaire, art-sorb, technical gloves, anti-vandalism supports, security spikes, hanging systems and more. We also have technical means for museum and collection professionals: work tables, restoration lamps, trolleys for bulky or delicate pieces. All materials meet the requirements of neutrality, stability and emission control required in museum conservation.
Environmental control and remote monitoring
The quality of the air and the environment is key to the stability of a construction site. At SIT we develop environmental control systems capable of monitoring in real time the levels of humidity, temperature, light, pollutant gases and particles. Through our own technological infrastructure -resulting from collaborations in European projects such as MEMORI or PROPAINT- we offer intelligent microclimate solutions that allow monitoring from our offices or even direct connection with the curators of the works.
Conservation in unconventional environments
Thanks to our experience in active protection and microclimate design, our solutions are applicable in contexts outside the museum: meeting rooms, private homes, offices, yachts, transit spaces, and even high humidity environments such as swimming pools or houses on the coast. Discreet design, state-of-the-art materials and remote control allow works to be safely displayed virtually anywhere.
